MInimalism & why it works for us

Image
My family and I are almost close to our 1 year of becoming a minimalist family (family of 5). Just as we are approaching the new year in about 5 hours, I'm sitting back reflecting on how and why I decided to take the leap into this new mindset and living. I was tiered.... that's the best way to describe it. sometimes I would sit back and think, Am I lazy? am I so disorganized that these rooms cant stay clean for more than 5 days? How and why did I buy all this stuff? Where is all my money going? I guess you can say the frustration was so overwhelming that I knew there had to be a better way But to be honest I didn't take the first step. My daughter took it for me. She wanted to earn money and I told her if she can clean her shared room up we had a deal. well she did just that she cleaned up her shared space. She bagged everything!! she bagged everything that was hers  as Donation and garbage!except her brothers stuff which she put aside for him to decide. She le

I received these kiss everlasting french  in my Spring Vox Box  for testing I was blown away by the quality as a mother of three kids and a full time job I have little to no time to get my nails done and I would rather spend that free time ( when it is available) with my family . When I received this product I was super excited to see how well it  would work what the quality would be and if it would last all my daily tasks from laundry , dishes, carrying a toddler, etc. I'm happy to report they are still standing strong and look just as fabulous as when I put them on ..no chipping or breaking so far. As long as you follow the instructions you will end up with a great Mani in little time. I first measured them to the right finger and filed the side if it was too big ..filed my nails ..applied glue ..and  ta- daaa!!! It is also pre- teen approved my daughter loved them and now we will be getting her a set for her. Toddler approved - they do not scratch the tips ar

Stow Lake ( San Francisco , Ca)

Image
Good afternoon everyone, some weeks ago we took a trip to San francisco and much to our suprise you discovered a new place we somehow missed when we would go to Golden Gate Park. It was a beautiful lake called Stow lake, and right by the lake is a boat rental or paddle rental. right  away I thought to myself what a great place for a romantic date :). theres even a snack shack and of course restrooms in case you or the kids have to go. we rented a paddle boat since we were to impatient to wait for the row boat it was 5 of us altogether I held my youngest on my lap euired to wear every child was required to wear a flaoting vest.. i think thats what theyre called. My daughter and her dad paddled the boat the lake takes you around Strawberry Hill and a man made waterfall theres ducks, turtles, fish, and many other bird critters. It was such a fun and relaxing experience . also on another note if you do not feel like paddling or rowing a boat they have electrical paddle boats for a little e

Tea Party In Paris

Image
For my daughters 8th birthday she asked me for a Tea party.. A couple months back she had asked me if we can have her party at a popular tea place we like to visit once in a while. The answer to that was" no" because the price for all the girls would be way too much, so instead we decided that it would be best if we throw our own tea party the way she likes it. I threw the Idea out that we can make it Paris Tea party and she loved it . Even though we both dont like tea and alot of kids dont like tea we kept the name but  decided to change the drink to Hot Cocoa. What kid doesnt like  hot cocoa on a winter day? This party was the most wallet friendly party I've ever thrown . Since many of the things used for Decor I already owned. Here are some pictures and Ideas to throw your own Tea Party In Paris. Throughout the party we used Pandora for music "french Cafe"   Eiffel tower is from target got it as a gift 2 yrs ago. the lamp is from Hobby Lobby   S

Ive always wanted to go apple picking during the fall season and Finally this year we added it to our family calender.Where we live there's not many/none apple picking or self picking farms so we have to drive 1+hr. I found this farm online, I was so happy that it was just what we were looking for and more. It made it worth the drive. but that goes with many things if you go with the right people and expecting it to be fun, it will be fun.My children absolutely loved it. Once we arrived we were given a map on how to get around the farm and where to park. we grabbed a bucket and started picking away Here are some tips when going to a self picking farm What to wear :(It will be dusty and there will be dirt ) -boots or rain boots that are easy to wipe -Long sleeve -Pants TIP :

Hello everyone. I have been looking forward to write about my favorite place of all in San Francisco, horse back ridding on the beach. Its an amazing, romantic and fun experience. I was taken as a suprise for my birthday.but some good tips are to check the weather and wear warm clothing.we arrived midday the first thing we did was sign the waiver and paid for a 1/2 hr ride. as soon as the instructor explained how to handle the horse we were off towards the beach. I liked the fact that instructors go along with you and help out if you need it. its a breath taking view once you arrive at the beach. Here is the link for address, rates and much more http://marvistastable.com/ below are some pictures, enjoy
